A utilitarian young lady in the Far West of America has papered her room with her' correspondence. The dado is entirely composed of love letters, arranged according to date. Those that contain proposals are placed along the top, bo that their purport may come well within the eye- lino of visitors. The dado is not quite finished, at* thd lady Ib still young and the room is large. She expects to have sufficient lovo-letters to complete it within the next three months. The walls above the dado are filled in with letters, chronologically placed, announcing legacies, the engagements of her friendß, invitations to dances, country houses, sleigh parties, and a'o on. The frieze at the top of the room is com* posed of envelopes. Tho gentlemen who wrote the love letters might not admire tho dado of tho room, but the considerate young woman haa cut off all the signatoreß.
