NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF NEW ZEALAND.
A Committee meeting of the Taranaki Branch of the National Association was held on Saturday, Mr A. Kyngdon in the chair, when the following resolutions were arrived at :— (1) That Mr N. King be asked to accept the office of President ; (2) that Mr Kyngdon be Chairman of Committee until the President is elected ; (3) that Mr Hughes be secretary and treasurer pro tern ; (4) that the Auckland branch be notified of the formation of this branch, and that the leading settlers in the various centres of the Province be written to asking their co-opera-tion in forming auxiliary branches; (5) that a general meeting of members be held on Saturday, December 12th, for the election of President, Vice-Presidents, and Secretary, and other business; (6) thut the name of the Association be " The National Association of New Zealand, Taranaki Branch," and that the district of this branch be tbe whole provincial district of Taranaki.
