STRIKE AGAINST UNIONISTS.
London, October 6. One hundred and twenty-five workmen at the Imperial Institnte Buildi igs have struck against the employment of Unionists. DEATH OP MR W. H. SMITH. The seriousness of Mr W. H. Smith's condition was suppressed by the wish of the Government. Intense regret is expressed by both parties. SHIP SUNK BY ICEBERG. The ship Wolviston, from Bristol to New York, was sunk by an iceberg, and 12 of those on board wore drowned. WRECK OFF NEW FOUNDLAND. The barque Minnelkin was wrecked off the coast of Newfoundland, and 23 were drowned. LATE LONDON SCANDAL. The insinuation of the Duke of Clarence and Avondale's connection with the Gaiety chorus girl is generally disbelieved. RUSSIAN TROOPS CONCENTRATING. Vienna, October 6. Alarming reports are persistently published in Vienna respecting the concentration of Russian troops in Bessarabia and along the entire western frontier.
