Public attention is directed to Stephens and Cluett's new advertisement. The Rifles Band intend to give an open air concert in front of tho Government Buildings on Friday night, commencing at half-past 7 o'clock. The members of the Harbor Board after the meeting to-day (Wednesday), wont out on a visit of inspection to the harbor 1 works. Dr. O'Carroll left by train on Tuesday for Wanganui, in order to attend Captain White, a well-known resident of that town, who -is seriously ill. The doctor is expected to. return in a day or two. A small boat, with one oar in her, "was found on the long rqef , near the Morleystreet goods shed this (Wednesday) morning.
