The charge against Loisel and a number of natives of creating a riot at Tologa Bay has been dismissed, terror not having been proved.

In the Appeal Court, in the case of Sowry and the Hawke's Bay Land Board, it was sought to obtain a decision whether or not the Land Board had power to enquire into a case of alleged dumniyism. after having once decided to issue an occupation license to applicants. The Judges were unanimous in holding that the Board had full power. The Appeal Court has been adjourned till December 12. GERMAN WAR VBSSKt/3 IS WELLINGTON HARBOK. On the arrival of the German squadron in Wellington harbour, the usual salutes were interchanged between H.M.S. Curacoa and the German flagship, followed by visits of courtesy between Captain Stopford and Admiral Valois. The latter then waited on His Excellency and members of the Government, who paid an official visit to the squadron.
