London, November 17. Baring Bros, is the financial house which is in difficulties. Their liabilities are put down at twenty-one million pounds, but the estate shows a surplus of three millions. The Bank of England, the Rothschilds, and other leading honscs guarantee ten millions. The Government is supporting the bank to tho extent of two millions. The liquidation of the estate will extend over three years. The prompt action of the Bank of England has reassured the market, and stocks are
