WAITARA.
(KIIOM OUR OWN CORRESI'ONDUNr.) November 15. — Last night in tho Town Hull tho Rev. 11. R. Dewsbury, of Wanganui, delivered his popular lecture on "Charles Dickens" to a large audience. Mr Moore occupied the chair, aud iv a few well-chosen words introduced the lecturer. Mrs Bluck and Miss Jonas sang solos, and the choir rendered two anthems. Tho lecture was highly appreciated, and frequently applauded. At tho oloso of its delivery the Chairman said Mr Dewsbury might be sure of a very hearty reception if he ever again lectured iv Waitara. Tomorrow- evening Mi Dewsbury is to preach iv the Waitara Wesleyan Church, the Raw T. J. Hammond, missionary to tho Maoris, taking the morning service.
