The faces of those taken are all very distinct, and it is one of 'the best photographs Mr Collis has taken. Bef erring to the New Zealand and River Plate Land Mortgage Company business in Buenos Ayres, the Auckland Herald says: — "That Company has not been prejudically affected by the recent disturbances. The Company's business is confined to investments on real property, and the lending margin has been so narrowed by the extreme caution of the Company's agents that even with the disturbed condition of affairs in the Argentine Republic no apprehension of loss is felt, and one very satisfactory evidence of such opinion being justified is that not a penny of interest is overdue. The Company's investments are made on a gold basis, and are not therefore affected by the disturbances in exchanges."
