STOCK AND SHAREMARKET.

Mr C. T. Mills' (late J. C. Davies) weekly chare report: —

There haß been quite a brisk demand for Bank of New Zealand shares all through the week, and several parcels have changed hands. The shares have advanced rapidly from 88s 6d, last week's quotations for old issue, to 102s 6d, at which figure they are firm, and find buyers. The very favorable reports as cabled from London have induced investors to come forward plentifully, hence the sudden rise. There is very little change in other stocks. N.Z. Land Mortgage and National Insurance have declined slightly. A small parcel of Colonial Insurance are wanted at market rate. ' New Plymouth, July 11,1890.
