WAREA.
[from our own correspondent.] May 1. — The annual meeting for tho election of a School Committee took place on Monday, April 28th, in the schoolroom. W. T. Townsend, Chairman of the letiring Committeo was voted to the chair, neither report nor statement of the doings of the Committee for the past year was made, and the meeting elected Messrs. Burgess (22), Wells, (18), Corbett, (14), Murphy, (15), McDonald, (15), Person, (5), and Volkcr (5), for the new Committee, who afterwards choose Mr W. Z. Wells for Chairman, and Mr Corbett to sign cheques with him.
Tho interest evinced by the single young men who have taken up sections on the Warea Road was very gratifying, almost tho Avhole of them being present and voting, whether their houses were erected or not.
