Retail Prices. — Country settlers must understand that the New Plymouth dealers sell at these prices . „ Butcher's Meat.— Beef : Sirloin, 3d ; prime ribs, 3d ; rump steak, 4d ; other roasts, from 2d ; boiling beef, from Id ; corn round beef, 3d ; other corn beef, 2£d per lb, Mutton : Hind-quarter, 3d ; forequarter, 2d ; legs, 3£d ; loins, 3d ; chops, 3d and 4d ; shoulders, 2£d ; necks and breasts, lid per lb. Lamb : Fore-quarter, 3s; hind-quarter, 3s 6d. Pork : Fresh, 4d perlb. Veal: 3d to4dper lb. Sausages: Beef, 4d ; pork, 6d per lb.— These prices are for cash only. Farm and Dairy Produce.— Milk, 3d to 4d per quart ; butter, 7d per lb ; cheese, 6d per lb. ; eggs, 8d per dozen ; fowls, 3s 6d per pair ; ducks, 5s per pair ; lard, 6d per lb ; bacon, 7d ; best hams, 8d ; turkeys, 4s to 4s 6d.
