About 2,000 kegs of butter and 109 bales of flax were shipped for the South at the breakwater to-day. It is stated that some of the drivers and guards on this section of the railway who know the Otago lines well be sent down there while the Exhibition is on. There is nothing definite, however, about the matter. At the Wealeyan Church, services will be conducted to-morrow by Mr Colliu senr. in the morning, and Mr Asher in the evening. The s.s. Takapuna left Wellington at 11 o'clock this morning, is due at midnight, and sails for Manukau shortly after arrival. Train at 12 to-night. Colonel Trimble has been appointed by His Excellency the Governor to be a Judge of the Native Land Court. The appointment has been Gazetted, and Colonel Trimble left for Wellington by the express train on Friday.
