THE PUHIPUHI SILVER MINES. . ♦ GREAT EXCITEMENT IN AUCKLAND [PJBK PHHB3 AbSOCIATIoN.J Auckland, November 23. — It now transpires that a mistake was made in deciphering tho cypher message with respect to the Puhipuhi crushing ; tho official return of thecrushing'at Waiorongomai, is that one ton of ore was crushed, for 2740z. silver and 15dwt. of gold. Xhia is a magnificent return, the atuff
being an ordinary sample of ore. An assay from another reef made at the same time yields double the above return. There is great excitement both in j Whangarei and Auckland.
