GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF NEW ZEALAND.
LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL. Thursday, July 11.— I be Speaker took the chair at 2.30 p.m. On the motion of the Attorney-General, a bill to prevent aboriginal natives assembling in a manner calculated to create alarm and inconvenience and danger to the public peace was introduced, and read a first time. The Law of Libel Bill passed through Committee, and was reported with amendments. The Council rose at 4.10 p.m.
