fPEB PBE33 ASSOCIATION.] CASE OF INTIMIDATION Auckland, September 22. At the Magistrate's Court on Friday, Garrett Bros., bootmakers, sued two men who have gone on strike, for £20 for breach of agreement. Ho defence was offered, but it transpired that the men had been compelled to leave work by threats of personal violence when the strike commenced, and they were afraid to return. One of the men said it was as mnoh &b his life was worth to return to work. Judgment was given for £20, not to be enforced if the men returned to work. WOOLLEN COMPANY TO BE WOUND UP. j At a meeting of the North New Zealand Woollen Co., to oonsider its financial position, it was announced that the Bank of New Sonth Wales had made a demand for £16,413 to be paid on October Ist. It was resolved " That as the Company cannot by reason of its liabilities continue to carry on business, its affairs be wound up." • . MAN DROWNED. The body of O'Hauro, who was drowned by the capsizing of the fishing boat Bat, was recovered yesterday.
