PARNELLITE LINE OF DEFENCE. GOINtf INTO ENEMY'S CAMP FOR EVIDENCE.
DILLON VERY ILL. [PEK PBESS ASSOCIATION.] London, September 18. — It ia believed thai the Parnollites will endeavor to prove that the Times employed private detectives, who made use of forged documents, and suborned witnesses in connection with the charges made against them by that paper. A report is current to the effect that the Times will apply for a writ of habeas corpus to obtain attendance of those laviaciblea who are serving life sentences for the Phcoaix Park murders to give evidence to connect the Land and National Leagues with the murders. A medical certificate bus been published which states that Mr. John Dillon is in a very serious condition, and tbat he may possibly live for v few weeks only. The Government have offered to release him on condition that he shall abßtain from taking part in public agitation. To this proposal Mr. Dillon h&s refused to agree, and it is now stated that owing to his critical Btate of health be will be released unconditionally. ,
