PRESENTATION TO FELIX McGUIRE. [per press association.}
October 8. — A silver tea and coffee set and dessert service were presented to Mr. Felix McGuire last night by his supporters in the late contest for Egmont seat, as a mark of their appreciation of the gallant struggle he had made against Major Atkinson. In the course of the evening a motion was passed to be telegraphed to Sir E. Siout, expressing their sympathy with his defeat, and regret at his temporary retirement from public life, and a* hope that he wonld soon resume the leadership of the liberal party.
