EAST COAST MAORI ELEOTION.
Tho returns from thirty out of sixty-one polling places on the East Coast Maori District give Carroll 1031, Wi Per© 551, Warbrick 279, Taiwhanga 194. Total votes, 2052. At the lost general election the total polled was 2333, but the Uriwera tribe did not vote. Their vol °.b will be mostly for Carroll, who is fiercely opposed to the Native Land Adinini&lrution Aot.
