MAN LOST IN THE BUSH.
MISSING SINCE MONDAY WEEK. The police heard from Inglewood this morning that an elderly man named George Milne, v settler on the Durham Road, had been missing from his home since Monday, August 29th. He is supposed to be lost in the bush, and i£ this supposition should turn out eorreot, very little hope can be given for the shances o£ finding him alive, as it is now nine days , since he left his home. Constable Eollo went irom Waitara this morning to the Durham Road to institute enquiries. It seems that the man left his home on the Monday for the purpose of getting cattle, and, that was the last seen of him by his family. He was on that day observed on the road by some people, it is said, and they noticed that he appeared to look not quite right, but seemed to be haggard and wild looking. Information of the affair was only brought into Inglewood yesterday, but why the family delayed so long in reporting the loss is not known.
