Stdney, September 5. A Government notice has been issued fixing the hours of work for Civil servants at from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., and 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays all the year round. A fire occurred last night in the Duke of Cornwall Hotel, Broken Hill, ' by which two men were burned to death. The family of the proprietor had a narrow escape. Brisbane, September 5. A new gold mining company has been registered here with a nominal capital of £1,000,000, under the name of the Mount Morgan Extended Co., | to work two acres of leasehold ground
adjoining the famoas Mount Morgan 00.
