Goodacre and Oarthew, which appeared in your paper of the 24th August. Yon there state that the first prize was awarded to Cartwright and Carthew for boot uppers at tho Wellington Exhibition, This is incorrect, as I alone gained the prize, my name alone is inscribed upon the medal, and my name alone appears in the official record, page 111. I have had np partner since August, 1882. I trust, sir, to your sense of justice to give as great a publicity to this correction as you have to the statement referred to. — I am, &c, Ewd. T. Oartwbight. Grey-street, Auckland,
