LATE FIRE AT BLENHEIM.
DEATH OF MR. WINTER THROUGH INJURIES. [PUB UNITED PBBBS ASSOOIA'IION.J Blenheim, August 30.— Richard Winter, editor of the Malborongh Titnes, and formerly of the Blenheim Exprest, Wanganui Chronicle, and several papers of the North Island, died last evening at the Wairau Hospital from mortifioation caused by injuries sustained at the late fire. At the inquest on Saturday on the remains of David Henderson, who was burnt in the fire, the jury added a rider aa to the loose way the hotel waa conducted, the landlord having admitted going to bed without closing the back door, and having failed to proenre fire escapee aa ordered by the Licensing Committee.
