Brisbane, August 80. It is announced that Mr. Dutton, Minister of Public Lands, has been appointed Minister of Public Works and Mines, rendered vaoant by the death of Mr. Miles. It is at present uncertain whether the Colonial Treaaurership, vacant by the resignation of Mr. Dickson, will be filled. The political parties are bestirring themselves for the forthcoming elections, and the contests are likely to be keen.
