WOOL SALES
London, September 14. The wool market is improving daily, and prices havo advanced a halfpenny to a penny above the opening rates all round; 61,000 bales have been catalogued, nearly half of which has been taken by Home factories.
At to-day's auction sales, 11,800 bales were catalogued. The market was strong, and prices showed a further advance. Greasy wools are now l*d. to 2d. higher than at the close of the June series. Ordinary scoured are Bd. to S^d., and good scoured 2d. to 2£d. higher. Fine short greasy crossbreds are l£d. to 2d, and coarse crossbreds Id. to 2d. higher.
