Fruit. — Lemons marie 7s 6d to 9a on Wednesday; oranges, unpicked, 83 to 10s 6d; picked, 11s 6d to 12s 6J; apples in good order Us to 13s 6d; firm, 78 to Us; OTUOns, 2d. Cattle. — -U lugiewood on Tues'lay, calves made £1 10s; 18-months, £1 15s; 18-moaths to 2 veirs, £2 10s; cows, £4 to £4 10s; gale 3, £2 16 to £3 5. At Waiwakaiho on Thursday cUtle mis'ered largely in exces3 of entries, the yards being mostly full; all classes were well represented. The bidding started quietly but improved somewhat towards the end. The whole of the cattle yarded were sold out. and afterwards most of the steers being sold after the auction. Big steers showed an improvement, dwry cattle in fair demand, especially springing heifers, calves and yearlings, all soli at late rates. Calves made 17s to 265; yearlings, 27s 6d (o 37s 6d; 18-months, £2 5s to £2 10J; heifers springing, good £4 to -£4 10s; small, £3 to £3 15s, 2 to 2J steers, £3 6s 9d £3 6s 9d; heifers, 2-year?, £2 7s 6d; cows in calf, £3; store cows, £2 lo £2 15s; cows, springing milkers, £4.
