GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF NEW ZEALAND.
LEGISLATIVE COUNCIL. [per united press association.] Thursday, July 15.— The Council met at 2.30 p.m. Dr. Pollen moved that copies of the Inspectors' reports under the Employment oE Females Act, relative to the working of the Act, be laid on the table. Agreed to. Several bills were moved forward various stages. Tho Sharebrokers Bill was thrown out, on the motion for committal, by a majority of 20. The Local Bodies Loan Bill was recommitted, and trilling amendments agree I to. The bill was reported. The Government Loans to Local Bodies Bill was read a first time. The Council adjourned till Tuesday next.
