Sydney, July 14. Arrived (this morning): Hauroto from Wellington. Mr. Trickett has resigned the chairmrnship of Committees in the Legislative Assembly. Sir H. Parkes formally challenged the rnliDg of the Speaker as to the legality of last Friday's sitting ; the point raised being that there was no House, as the Speaker did not take the chair. Mr. Barton is ruling against that contention.
