HOSPITAL AND CHARITABLE AID BOARD. THIS DAY.
The Hospital and Charitable Aid Board met on Monday. Present : Messrs. J. Elliot (in the chair), T. Bayly, and Major. Hospital Grounds. — Tho Socretary read a letter which ho had sent to the Education Reserves Commissioners, asking that the educational sections surrounding the hospital grounds should be handed over for a site for the new hospital. A reply also was read indicating the willingness to do this, but that six of tho sections were now being transferred to tho Borough Council of New Plymouth. On Mr. Bayly's motion, it waß decided to apply to tho Borough Council to forego their claim to those six sections mentioned. Subsidy. — Notice from the Government that £229 12s. Bd., being a subsidy, had been placed to credit. Accounts. — £227 19a. Bd. was passed for payment. The Loard adjourned uatil 3 p.m.
