CRICKET.
THE AUSTRALIAN ELEVEN IN ENGLAND. AUSTRALIANS V. NOTTINGHAM. [reuter's copyright telegrams.] The cricket match was resumed on Friday, in fine weather and with a good attendance of the public. Great interest is being taken in tho game. The wicket was rather lumpy. The visitors, with 3 wickets down tor 23 runs, continued their first innings, which closed for 175 runs, 22 behind the Home team. The highest individual scorers were : Palmer, c 59; Giffen, b 34; Bonnor, b 40. The bowling of the Home team was dead on the wicket. At the close of tha da3''s phy tho Notts men had scored 81, with two wickets down. Shrewsbury contributed 28 (bowled).
