Consols now at 10 $ New Zealand securities are quoted as follows: — 5 per ct. 1040 loan, 101^; 4$ per cent. 1879-1904 loan, 101$: 4 per cent, inscribed stock, 974, Bank raie of discount is now 2^ per cent,, and market rate is nowl^ percenc. Totalreserve in the Bank of England in notes and bullion is no-v £11,800,000, showing a decrease of £600,000 since last returr. Proportion of reserve to liabilities has fallen from 38 to 39 per cent.
Breadstubps. — Adelaide wheat, ex store, is row quoted at 353 6i per 4961bs ; New Zealand wheat, ex store, 28s to B2s Cd ; Adelaide flour, per 2801 b, ex store, 245.
Tallow. — Australian tallow, steady ; beef, 27s GJ ; and 28s 6J for mutton.
Leatheh. — Best sides Australian leather are worth lOjd per lb.
Flax.- -The New Zealand flax market continues firm at the following quotations: — Fine quality, £2G per tou; medium, £22 10s ; common, £20.
Frozen Meat. — Nev Zealand frozen mutton, prime quality, 5d to sj|'t per lb. Wool — At We nesday 's sale a catalogue of ]3,2u0 bales was submitted, prices being frmly maintained.
