Melbourne, July 9. The Tarawera arrived from the Bluff this morning. Sydney, July 9. Sailed (this*, morniug) : Mauapouri, for Auckland. ■ The Legislative Assembly has been sitting continuously since yesterday afternoon, in consequence of the Opposition members stonewalling the bill to give effect to an alteration of the customs duties. Sydney, July 9 (10 p.m.) The Assembly is still sitting, the House beiug in committee on the Customs Bill. Tho galleries have been closed. A point has been raised that there is no House, as the Speaker did not take the chair to-day. Great confusion exists in tho Chamber, and Messrs. Shephard and Wisdom have been suspended for disorderly conduct.
