MARQUIS OF LORNE ON THE COLONIES.
At the banquet given under the auspices of the Chamber of Commerce Congress the Marquis of Lome said that the colonies were England's best customers in time of peace, aud her ! surest allies in times of war. Messrs , Davies, Eeid, and Macmillan spoke. DEATH OF CARDINAL GUIBERT. Paris, July 8. The death is anuouueed at the age of 84, of His Eminence Cardiual Guiberfc, Archbishop of Paris.
