A cable received this morning from the Agent-General states that about 700 tenders were received for the new loan, amounting to nearly seven millions. Tenders at £103 3s. 6d. will receive 82 per cent., above that in full. TWO SUICIDES. Christohobch, June 1 5. A fanner named Godfrey Leichfield, residing at Fapanui, committed suicide by cutting his throat yesterday. Frank Nicholson, architect also committed suicide at the Terminus Hotel yesterday by shooting himself I-i the head. SUDDEN DEATH AT LAWRENCE. Dunedin, June 5. Mr. G. T. Brown, formerly a member of the Provincial Council for Tapueka, died suddenly of heart disease at Lawrence. TO BE BROUGHT BACK. At the instance of the Official Assignee a warrant has been forwarded to Melbourne for the arrest of Stephen Hutchison, gas engineer. A constable was despatched yesterday.
