WAITARA LICENSING COMMITTEE. [FROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.]
Tna annual meeting of the above was held at the Institute, Waitara, on Wednesday. Present: Messrs. F. Bluck (chairman), T. Elliot, H. Irvine, 1 J. J. Clark, and W. Snel!. The following renewals wero granted: — Musonio Hotel, J. Holmes \ Waitara Hotel, Albert Buyly ; Bridge Hotel, J. W. Nicholls ; Manutahi Hotel, J. Collins. Mr. Pigott had lodged an application for a renewal of his hotel license for the Urenui Hotel, but no.v applied through bia solicitor, Mr. J. B. Uoy, to have the license changed to nn accommodation one. It was decided to tiike a solicitor's opinion whether the Committee were empoweiod to grant tho application under tho existing Act. The meeting was adjourned till the 29th June, when the application will b 9 dealt with,
