WANGANUI.
[PEIt PRESS ASSOCIATION.] October G. — Arapeto, the Murimotu native, avis charged before the Magistrate with the larceny of a theodolite, valued at £25, the property of J. A. Thorpe, surveyor, and was remanded. He was admitted "to bail —himself in £500, and two sureties of £250 each. The accused found bail.
An enquiry was held yesterday into the stranding of the St. Kilda when entering the river. The St. Kilda received no damage, and got off the next flood tide. The evidence was forwarded to Wellington.
