White writing to us the other day, mentioned the taking of a swarm o£ honey bees on the Ist October, fl liicli he says seemed un extraordinary thing to a newcomer, und asks it' it is not an unusual tiling even here for them to swarm thus early in the spring. Captuin Messenger informs us that he took a very fine swarm of bees from hia boxes on the 27th September, which are now working hard and doing well.
