CORRESPONDENCE.

We are not responsible for the opinions ex* pressed by correspondents. The writer's name, as a guarantee of good faith, must be enclosed in the letter. A DANGEROUS NUISANCE. TO THE EDITOR. Sir, — Will you kindly allow me to call attention to a persistent and dangerous nuisance in the near neighbourhood of New Plymouth — not infrequently on other days of the week, but constantly on Sunday and Saturday afternoon. Men and lads on horseback, sometimes a small troop together, are to be seen galloping as hard at they can pelt along the Hospital Road, at the Henui, thereby placing, as I have more than once witnessed, the lives and limbs of foot-passengers — especially young children — in imminent danger. As no other means seems to be of the least use to put a stop to this practice, I beg to state that it is my fixed intention to summons the very first of these offenders, whom I am aole to identify, before the magistrates. — I am, &c, Forewarned. Old Hospital Road, June 10, 1882.
