He has been examined by medical men in the gaol, who pronounced him insane. Their report has been forwarded to the Colonial Secretary, who has ordered Kitto's removal to the asylum pending his trial. FINED FOR PAYING MEN IN A PUBLICHOUSE. At the City Court to-day, Hugo Calder, a contractor, was fined ss. for paying workmen in a publichouse. It is the first case of the kind — hence the nominal penalty.
