Melbourne, une 7. It is now definitely known that the report of the death of Hanlan was quite unfounded. An exhibition of electrical appliances has been opened here. The opening ceremony was performed by His Excellenoy the Governor. A telegram from Hong Kong reports that the steamship Bowen has left that port for Wellington. Sydney, June 18. The Marine Board has held an inquiry into recent collision between the steamers Fairlight and Osprey, and found that the former was at fault. The certificate of the captain of the Fairlight has been suspended for one month. The wreck of the Osprey has been sold for £690. Negotiations have been resumed at Newcastle, with a view to the termination of the miners' strike.
