TURF REGISTER. Christchdrch, August 26.
The Canterbury Jockey Club has decided to recognise all the decisions of the recently established Tattersail's Club, and have expressed their willingness to assist other Jockey Clubs in the publication of the New Zealand Turf ttegiater.
BREACH OP PLIMSOLLS ACT. Dunedin, August 26
The Port Bench convicted the captain of the John Kuox fora breach of PlimboH's Act, aud, being the first case in the district, fined him ss. and costs. Notice of appeal was given.
DANGEROUS PORT FOR SHIPS.
On docking the ship (Hugo on Saturday it was found that in crossing the bar, when drawing 18ft. 6in., she struck so heavily as to carry away completely 1 9 ft. forward, and 16ft. aft, of her false keel.
KYEBURN MURDER.

The trial of the Kyeburn murder case commenced at Naseby before Mr. Robinson, R..M., and a full bench. A fresh information has been laid against Lee Guy, he having been charged with murder, and Ah Lee with aiding and abetting*. Mr. Weldon prosecutes, aud Mr. Rowlatt defeads.
