Sir Hercules Robinson has accepted the invitation to a race meeting to be hald hereon thol6th September. There will be a large amount of money added to the chief event. Melbourne, August 27. Sugars are 10s. to 12s. 6d. per ton higher.
Adelaide, August 26. In the Legislative Assembly, Mr. •Bray has tabled a vote of want of confidence in the Government on the estimates.
Brisbane, August 26.
The Opposition have renewed their obstruction in the Assembly to the mail contract, and Government now threaten to adjourn for three months without supply.
