WAITARA.
[I'ROM OUR CORRESPONDENT.] September 15. — An accident of a serious nature has happened to Mr. Thomas Lcodom. While riding, on Friday morning, early, his horse shied wuou close to the Waitava Bridge, throwing Mr. Lccdom to the ground. Dr. CHbbes was telegraphed for and attended to his injuries. It was found that several of his ribs were broken, and that lie had otherwise sustained a severe shaking. It is rumoured that the newly elected Members of tho House of Representatives intend visiting Waitava on Wednesday next for the purpose of mooting the members of the Harbour and Town Boards, and conferring on matters of local importance. It will be an opportune time for them to aoc for themselves the great inconvenience of the present wharf, and the very great delay caused to vessels trading to this port. Two matters require special attention — increased wharf accommodation, and the subsidising of a »team-tug. No doubt the Members will see tho necessity of having these wants supplied at an early date.
