"THE LIBERAL TICKET."

TO THE EDITOR.

Sib, — I have read a great deal lately about Sir George Grey and Mr. Sheeban being liberal in their views, nnd I acn somewhat puzzled how to reconcile their actions with their words, for if they are so liberal as they would wish to make out, why are they trying to secure two Boats each in Parliament ? It looks to me very covetous ou their part, for they kuow they cannot hold them. I don't understand the thing 1 , but what is called Liberalism in New Zealand we should call Conservatism at home. But then we are on tho other side of the world, and that makes all the difference. — 1 am, &c, A New Arrival.
