The Education Reserves Board met on Wednesday morning. Present : Ml*. B. Wells (chairman), and Messrs. King and Pa'rris. Victoria, Park Reserve. — The tender of Mr. James Davidson for a lease of the Victoria Park Reserve • was accepted. , The tender stipulated to accopt'the lease for" 42 years at the following rent :— Firs,t ten. years, £1 Is. per annum ; second ten years, £1 10s.; third ten years, £2 ; and the remainder of the term' at £4 per annum. • • ; Transfer of Allotment. — Mr. J. Pugh ap-! plied to have his interest in section 215 and 21G, New Plymouth, transferred to Jf. Downe, which was acceded to. Disputed Right. — A letter was read from Mr. Armstrong, of Wanganui, urging a claim' to the lease of allotment' 2628, at Henui. It appeared that tho> Board had lot ths allotment to Mr. Stroud, and tho present applicant urged a prior claim. The (Hiestibn ' was referred to tho Board's solicitor, and it was decided that if it wore necessary the Board would re-advertise tlio section as ppeii for lease.
