ANOTHER OFFICIAL SQUABBLE.

The following is a copy of the " Notes on the Hintz c:ihe" which were read by tho Commissioner of Crown L'ind* to the members ot the Land Boiird who were prcseut on Monday last :—

1. A notico sent from this office to Hintz that his third instalment of purchase monus ou a section held by him ou terms of deferred payments is duo.

2. A list of instalments duo on — day of — (including that of Hintz), sent to Rucuivei of Laud Ruveuue. List in form dratted bj the Receiver, and adopted by (ho friard, and iuclules uumos of Hcons"C«i, amounts payable, aud d;iy on which payable.

3. Monday, loth January, 1879. — Hintz came to pay his third instalment according to notice. Hois referred to Receiver of L>ind Revenue.

Hintz comes back attain— Receive.- still refuses to take the money, requiring thnt the amount of the instalment payable should be inscribed ou the notion to Qintz, though the man has with him his original licensu to occupy, which hears* this tiniount on its face, and the Receiver's voucher above referred to, which contains the information required. 1). The amount ia inscribed on Hhilz's notice am! ho o^aiu returns to the Receiver to teudor the money. Tho CommU-gioucr of Cro-vn L-4ud* accompanies him and points out to the Receiver that ho hits in his po.-s/nsioti every item of information required. The Receiver objects that it is not sufficient for him without th« additional dataito furnished, and the Commissioner leturns to the office, leaving Hintz with the Recvivei, and h;>pinir that at length everything id satisfactorily soltlrd.

10. Hinfz comes back to Commissioner's nfiice, us Receiver hns again refu-ed toreceivo the money. He brings this with him, us also the notice to himself, on which the Receiver has written an endorsement to the effect that he requires the Act under which the hind was sold to he inscribed' ,a the face of this notice.

11. Commissioner inscribes Act on the lace of the notice; Hintz takes it and the money to the Receiver, wlio, it is presumed, rec -ived it at length, as Hintz did uot appear in the Grown Lands Office.

Oq the above it is to be remarked —

1. T'liit Hintz had with him for the iuspection of the Receiver his original licouse to occupy, on which U insciibod the Aot under which the land was sold, together with all the information required.
