Thb Crnsos qt Marlbobouoh. — The official return of the census of the Provinoe of Marlborough appears in the New Zealand Gazette of tbe 9th April. The totals, oompared with the oenßOs of 1871, are— Males, 1871—3,235 ; 1874—3,664 ; increase, 429, or 13.26 per cent. Females, 1871— 2,000 ; 1874-2,479 ; increase, 479, or 23.95 per cent. Total, 1871 —5,238 ; 1874—6,143 j increase, 908, or 17 34 per oent. The total number of dwellinpsfs— 1871, 1,162$ 1374, 1,308 s inorease, 146, or 12.56 per oent»
