EDUCATION BOARD.

The adjourned meeting of the Board was held on Thursday last, ia the Superintendent's Office. The Deputy Superintendent <VV. M. Crompton, Esq)., presided. Present : Messrs. Cutfield, Gledhill, Halite, and Richmond. Alteration in the Sytem of assisting School Teachers. — Mr. Hulke introduoed the subject, and moved, " That the allowance to bo granted to school teachers of all subsidised country schools be, for the future, £20," which was carried. — Mr. Upjohn then moved, " That two schools for boys be subsidised in town, and one for girls — tho former to be kept at the bnilding known as Earl's School, and the other at the one known as Lysnar's School. The chapel on the pih to be used for the girl's school." — Mr. Hulke moved, " That the donation to be granted to the teachers of the town schools be £20." Carried. —Mr. Hui,ke then proposod "That tho secretary be empowered to sue for all school fees of the teaohera that wero not paid by the parents within one month after becoming due." — This it was decided to postpone for consideration till the next mooting of the Board. Tho Board then adjourned.
