OTAGO.
November 9. — The ' Tararna' arrived at the Bluff, at 5 p.m. She left Melbourne on the sth, and brings eighteen saloon and forty-nine steerage passengers, 305 tons oargo, 59 horses, 151 rams (no loss), for all ports. A workman named Kidd got his foot cut off by a oiroular saw at Jack's mills, Winton (Southland), on the 6th instant. He was brought to town by special train, and the leg was amputated below the knee, at the hospital. An inquest has been held on the fire at Naseby . The causa of the fire ia unknown. The damage was estimated at £450 ; insured for £300. A Chinaman at Toapeka committed suicide by stuffing paper in his nostrils. It is ramoared that Mr. Barton has been sent for to form an Executive and declined. Mr. Reid refoeee to aooept office till the Counoil oalla him.
