The first Almanac that has ever been compiled in this Province, was issued from our Office on Wednesday last, and although three months of tno year have passed, the public will find that it is [ nob issued too late to be useful. It is published 1 *as a sheet Almanac, and contains much useful information. The Tarauaki code of signals ; tho calendar, the rising and setting of the sun, the time of high water, and the moon's age, besides a General aud Provincial Government directory, are a few of tLe items of its contents j whilo a list of the different Iload Boards, the names of the Commissioners, and the rates levied per acre, together with the gardou calendar, .will bo extremely usoful to country "settlers. Persons wishing to send copies of,, tho Almanac to their friends in other parts of tho Colony, or to England, can enclose them in our newspaper without extra postage, the sheet being in the form of a supplement.
