MR. TODD'S SURVEY PARTY.
By the latest intelligence from Ngaruawahia wo infoitned that it was currently reported ther that Mr. Todd's survey party, who were employed in laying out the road I'rom Raglan to Waipa, had buen driven by thcrebel natives from the Pirongia ranges, iind ha^to muko their escape. One ot' them, it was said, had arrived at Ngaruawhia bleeding and footsore. Tho Pirongia ranges are where the gold has been found, and if there is truth in the report the knowledge of this by the natives has perhaps influenced them in driving away the surveyors. — Daily Southern Cruss.
